My wife has given the OK for a new bow for xmas!!! YAY ME!

I am torn between the HOYT CRX32, Hoyt Rampage, and a Mathews z7 Extreme. I was thinking about bowtech, but they are not setting my world on fire. I hopefully am going to shoot them tomorrow or wed, I hope.

What are your thoughts on which bow is best? I noticed bowtech has new bow coming out in January.

I have heard some pretty good things about the Z7, but I have never shot it. The Hoyts sure do feel nice to me though

I was very impressed with the z7 extreme that I shot the other day. The draw was a little weird, just different then what I am used to.

I've heard great things about the z7 and I'm looking at getting it myself but my pro shop owner shoots for Bowtech and swears they are the best

Would you get a drop away rest or whisker biscuit type rest?

I shoot the Z7 and just love it. I also have a QAD dropaway rest on it and you cant go wrong with either one IMO.

I would add Elite to that list. They seems to have some great bows, last year and this year.

I would like to shoot an Elite bow. I will try to find a dealer close to try one out.

Whatever you choose i hope you have a ball buying it! i love just going into a pro shop and looking at new bows.lusting ha-ha ! my opinion on the drop away rest vs the biscuit. theres pros and cons for both, me personally i had the trophy taker and hated it! bought a carolina archery products Fuse W.B. off of finch and its been awesome no problems theres nothing there to fail you and its quite! I'd go w/ a biscuit! good luck and let us know how it turns out!

You can't go wrong with the Z7 or the CRX32 even the Bowtechs or Elites. The most important part of the buying process is to get what YOU feel comfortable with and not just because your dealer or some guys on a forum recommend something.
