I was at the shop today and a friend was shooting his bow through paper. No matter what we did the high tear wouldn't go away.Nock point, move rest, arrow spine....nothing worked.

    Any Ideas?

is it a dual cam or single cam? is the tiller in check? could be the cams out of sync if it's a dual..if the tiller is off it may be causing it too...

Does it have a WB rest?

I have seen this with them before.

I have also seen it when the spring tension is too stiff on a standard prong style rest.

If everything else is in check, im thinking possible weak limb as well. or could be a possible form issue. maybe gripping the bow when he shoots?

Try a correctly spined bareshaft to eliminate all contact issues. You should be able to get close to the paper and get a near perfect bullethole.
