Contemplating on switching to them, heard good things about them and willing to give them a try but do they group with field tips. I currently use Grim Reaper broad heads and love them but wanna try something new.

If your bow is tuned correctly they will. I have 2 guys that use them & love'em, they took a small amount of tuning after switching from a 3 blade fixed. I'm headed to pick up some & some 300 spine fmj's.

Texas Archery is the only place around here that I know that carries them. They are an excellent head. One of my. Buddy's has 8 hog kills on the same head with no damage. Just hit it on the stone a few strokes & will shave again.

Interesting this thread popped up. A guy commented on my BH vs. stab vest video I posted yesterday that I'd get penetration through both sides of my stab vest using these bh's. From looking at their website they aren't cheap. $80 - $100 for 3 given the US to Euro exchange rate. Are they that expensive from Texas Archery too? The Dirt Nap DRT's performed extremely well for me and are almost the exact same design at less than half the cost. Curious if the price difference is worth it.

From my experience with them, they fly right with my field points. They are my go to head.

I buy mine from Jerry at South Shore Archery Supply.

Yes they are that expensive!!! Just got back from Texas Archery with mine. They was around $85. 6 300 spine FMJ's & the German Kinetics came to $195.

The guys at the bow shop the main thing was to set the head blades at 12 & 6 o'clock position.

Indexing the heads should not matter. remember they spin as the arrow moves forward.

Hey Hillbilly did you post your results somewhere for the DRTs? I'm planning on doing a review of these heads after I get back from Saskatchewan. Provided I can complete my test with them.

Update I found the video. Thanks!!

They said that they got better flight & accuracy with them indexed like that. The one guy is a tournament shooter & said that with them indexed at the 12 & 6 they fly with his field points out to 60yrds, he said he test them past that since they only have a 60yrd range there.

Never found any difference with broadhead positioning as long as I was shooting a well tuned bow, with arrows that were properly indexed.

(and I have tried all different positions just to see and if the above things were done, no difference. Without a tuned bow and spine indexed arrows, oh yeah. Broadhead positioning made a lot of difference.)

The metal is not bad at all they just need some sharpening and polishing. Once you do that they seem to hold the edge.

I didn't mean it that way. Definitely wasn't saying the metal isn't good. I've heard exceptionally good things about the German kinetics. I never had a problem with my DRTs, except when I blew thru a bear and hit a rock. It put a small knick in the blade. It was only 13 yrds away, so arrow was still moving fast.

Did some shooting today with German Kentic's & field points. First picture is 20yrds as bow was set up. 2nd picture is a couple of rest adjustments at 30yrds & last picture is final shots. I'll try & shoot some more tomorrow at 30 & 40 to see what happens at 40. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
