His Wolverines are down 21-7. Is it going to be 4 in a row they loose to State. Robinson is stinking it up. He throws it up for grabs and can't hit a barn door at this point. Penalties are the only thing keeping them in the game. Germ has got to be flipping out. Wow.... Robinson completed a couple.

Nah... none of those blue guys should be surprised. I warned them a week ago :tu:

p.s.- I think I just witnessed the most ridiculous play in NCAA history... guy ran like 100 yards, only to lose a nice chunk. That was AWESOME

I have never seen a dumber called play on 4th and inches. What the hell was that, our OC lost that game, he was out coached

I agree. It was disappointing. I was cheering for Blue to Just Do it. I don't know that one play cost them the game. It was a tough day all around.

Yeah, but it's tough for anyone to call plays against that D... old Sparty is no joke. They bring a lot of pressure and cover pretty darn well.

It took us 3 1/2 qtrs to run a slant, and he still was not open. Our wr have zero speed.

You beat pressure by throwing where the blitz is coming from. We did not do that once.

San Jose State called the exact same play in the same situation against Hawaii last night with almost identical results. A SJSU player missed a block and a corner came unblocked off the edge right at the QB, except the SJSU QB just chucked it straight up in the air and it was picked.

I don't understand that play on 4th and short? There are so many things that could go wrong. Just sneak it or run it up the middle. You only need a yard.

    Even worse.

That was definitely on either the OC or Robinson. If Robinson can call audibles at the line, he should have seen only a NT lined up on Michigan's Center and Guards and made a check. But that play shouldn't have been called in the first place.:violin:

My worst fear concerning this game came true. State has good enough corners to cover one-on-one, Michigan doesn't have receivers that can create space, and they don't have an accurate QB (well they do, but he is inexperienced). When Robinson can't run, he is not very effective.

I did not think the play calling would be that bad. How many times did State need to blitz before Borges figured out a way to counter it? Apparently, it didn't happen enough...because he never figured it out.

Vito it was exactly what we both said, if Denard cannot throw we are doomed. Borges play calling was terrible. To much trickery and not enough down hill football.

Give state credit they played a great defensive game.
