Season opened today in GA. I didn't see any gobblers :bash: today but saw several hens. What a blast it was to be back in the woods though! Back at it later!

Oh no, when I saw the title I was thinking of the "RUT IS ON" threads. :deer:

At least the "Georgia hens were on". :d

I envy your early seasons, we don't get to start chasin til April 25th here in PA if you don't count the youth day the Saturday prior. Even though there can be some hot action, we're actually running late and it can be tougher.

Good luck, keep checking back and bring the pics.

Did you hear any gobbles? There's nothing like hearing those gobbles opening morning.

Hang in there, if your birds aren't pressured very hard by others, the later in the spring it gets, the easier the hunting will get. These Mid March seasons are just tough. Best of luck buddy!

No there was no gobbles where I was, but it was a pretty cold morning on top of the mountain. The temps were in the mid 30's. I'm stuck indoors now until the weekend. I'll be back at it on Friday. Stupid work! :bash:

Yes, turkey season is here in Georgia.:nana: Went out this past weekend, heard lots of turkeys, just couldn't get close enough, but it's still early. Did, however, see lots of good sign of deer for this coming September.

I also came across some good sign while out last weekend. I marked it on my GPS and will get back in there after I'm finished chasing the turkeys.
