Or that his wife is crazy.;)

I had a great uncle who's wife tried to kill him. Actually took a shot at him in a public parking lot and he never pressed any charges and didn't want the state to either. She was manic and off her meds and he loved her unconditionally.

Just throwing that out there, you never know what is going on in people's lifes behind closed doors.

What you say may be true, we don't know for sure. All we can do is look at the evidence.

Seems like you might be jumping to conclusions a touch here, but what the hey.... I believe the cop thing was actually an undercover cop who got into and altercation with a friend and he tried to intervene if I remember correctly, and who amongst us might not try to intervene when an altercation between one of our friends and another guy (undercover cop or not) might not??? "He who is without sin shall cast the first stone..." Not sure what the domestic dispute was about, none of my business really, and if he did wrong, then throw the book at him, but if they refuse to press charges, maybe in a fit of anger they made statements that may have not necessarily have been TRUE..... People do that all the time, get people amped up, excited about a fight, car wreck, hostile interaction or whatever, there are usually more than one story and it's difficult to piece things together.

On the other hand, we have a guy who short of an altercation with an UNDERCOVER police officer, and a domestic dispute (which neither party was ever convicted of anything), is relatively clean until one fabled night in Feb. 2012, when he used his legally concealed weapon to end an altercation with a young man who was beating his brain in, who may have either been high on marijuana, or such a chronic user that he was still testing positive days after his last use (note his GF said he was a regular user 2-3x/wk), either way, stuff happens.... I can pull a list of people I know personally that have a longer rap sheet than that, who seem to be relatively trustworthy people. The stress in GZ's life is tenfold to what MOST of us deal with in the average day, merely because he was involved in an altercation with a young black (African-American, Colored, Negro, whatever one chooses to be identified as) male who was apparently into MMA, and wanted to do "whoop-***" on him, and in the midst of the young man doing "whoop ***" on him, after calling out for help numerous times, he finally used his gun to end that altercation in lieu of having his brains beat in.

But let's just hold our breath for each and every time he does anything that may or may not be aligned with the law, and criticize him to the "N-th" degree..... When was that last time any of us got pulled over for speeding and the whole country heard about it??? I believe we have a member here who chased teen kids in his neighborhood in nothing but his drawers, but none of the national media has overreacted about that.... Many of us here have been involved in some sort of altercation since the inception of this forum, but NONE of us have made national news, because it hasn't been sensationalized by the media and the race-baiters in our country.... Any of us ever dial 911, and have the transcript of the tape altered to make us look like a bad person??? Any of us hear have concealed carry license??? Would you use it if you were on the ground being beaten up by someone very capable of doing it who was starting to smash your skull into a concrete sidewalk or would you just lie there and let them crack your skull??? Certainly this is a classic case of needing to walk a mile in one man's shoes before criticizing him.

Any thoughts on the case of TM vs. GZ in that the kid really didn't have Tea, but Watermelon Juice and Skittles with when mixed with one or another cough medicine made a drug that makes kids high, which TM was know to have used??? Was it an innocent 17yr kid, or a drug abusing young man??? Many of the facts will lead you to believing the later, rather than the prior....

If GZ is guilty of this, then he should be punished, just like any of us here should be for such an act, if not, then let him be to live his life....

Does it? The issue of any charges being filed were dropped as soon as George offered up surveillance video from the home that would hold the truth. Interesting. Don't be too quick to judge what happened here.

Like what, chase some kids in his underwear??? Pretty judgemental for someone who doesn't even personally know him aren't you??? Sadly, he may be nothing more than a turd that needs flushed, but the act that gave him national recognition (even if bad), was a classic case of self-preservation and self defense, regardless of what the many ignorant masses may wrongfully say.

No it was act of stupidity:). Comparing someone breaking into my car to domestic violence, good one.

    Yeah I know
If it was I know several that would be locked up for life. ;)

Maybe he was stupid for pursuing but I will hold tight that in the end he was justified in self defense.

Maybe the fact that there was a video of the events negates the need for her to call the police also. Maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with the divorce and a bitter wife....? But, that would not fulfill your preconceived notion, would it?

He's a dumb ***, who still does dumb *** things

""Unfortunately, the iPad is in several pieces," police spokesman Zach Hudson told reporters about the device, which he said George Zimmerman had damaged."

So if George had proof why did he destroy the iPad with the video? George keeps being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe the iPad was acting suspicious.

Or maybe, the iPad had nothing to do with it other than it belonged to the woman that was trying to ruin his life.....maybe.

George ruined his own life, he does not need any help.

iPad had video on it, will be interesting to find out who was taking the video and why it was destroyed. If the person you married is trying to destroy your life, you may have some issues.

Yes, she may have some serious issues.

Look, I'm just playing the other side here, but its obvious you already have him tried and convicted of any crime that happens within a 5 mile radius of him. I tend to give someone the benefit of the doubt and not listen to the drivel that the media poisons us with. The media painted of picture of a madman waving a gun around in the air and threatening to shoot. Those that were in the home at the time say the gun was never shown. You have kids, don't you hope that if they end up in the wrong place at the wrong time some day that they are given a chance to prove themselves innocent? Wouldn't it hurt to hear things about them on the street or in the media that were pure fabrication?

I surely hope I do a better job than George parents in teaching my kids to use their heads.

Like my parents did for me:)

There are people in the wrong place at the wrong time, George put himself in the wrong place, and he is paying a hefty price

Yes, I said "Ignorant masses," like those who took time to ruin what could have been a good celebration of the MLK "I have a dream speech" 50th Anniversary by inserting a need for justice for Trayvon Martin, and a POTUS and USAG who inserted themselves into a case of CLEAR self-defense and a CLASSIC perfect example of a man who LEGALLY used his LEGALLY carried concealed weapon to end and altercation in which otherwise he may have been severely injured. Yes, I CERTAINLY did say "Ignorant Masses." If people took time to learn facts and understand the law, before jumping to conclusions, it would make a lot better world....

No, the comparison, which I've a number of times brought up was you chasing kids breaking into a car, being comparable to GZ following TM because he was suspicious of him... TM ran off (suspicions increased 10-fold), GZ lost him, and then TM came back and did "Whoop-***" on GZ in the words of TM's GF who he was apparently talking to on that night.... It's a very fair comparison, what would have happened if those kids had stayed to fight??? What would have happened if you were getting a beat down from a couple of teens??? The case is actually much less convincing than the Roderick Scott Case ( Recalling Roderick Scott » The Rochesterian ), but you haven't heard of this one in the national media, the POTUS and USAG didn't jump on this case for some reason did they??? You're situation was similar to Roderick Scott's situation, what if you'd been put in Roderick Scott's position??? What then???

Your comparison still sucks, but good try.
