It wasn't one of my proudest moments, and I was pretty much horrified the entire night, but it is a night that I will always remember.
When I was younger, I loved the places. So much so that I ended up working security at one for a full time job for right at a year. Had some interesting times to say the least. After working at one for a while you learn the ins and outs of the ladies that work there. While working there and for a while after I would go with buddy's and see how many free dances I could get. I use to sit back and watch guys and laugh at how they thought if they spent X amount on the girl she would go home with them. I seriously saw a guy clean out his account one night. Couple grand on one chick. He was so convinced he was he was going to take her home then once he didn't have any money to give her, she moved on to the next table. It really was one of the saddest displays of idiocy I believe I have ever seen. Man card revocation time there. After working in one for any amount Of time, I don't see how someone could really enjoy it. If someone wants to go, I'll go just to see them act an idiot. As far as should a married man go if his wife doesn't approve? No. It's just plain disrespectful to her wishes. If she doesn't mind then it's a different story. I honestly think that (and this is coming from me working at one) if a woman is secure enough with herself and relationship, it wouldn't matter. Especially since half of the dancers don't like men anyways. The other half doesn't care to do anything with any customers or are to high for it to matter. Chances of most guys to get one to leave with them (given they aren't dumping a ton of cash to leave with them) are very slim. Your average adult club patron doesn't have enough "game" to talk them into leaving anyways. As someone else said, they have their place and time in a mans life.
Not much of a fan myself. I've been a few times, maybe once since college when someone at a bachelor party thought it was a good idea. I have never once decided at the beginning of a night to go to a strip club. I have, however, ended up there a couple times before the night was over. And it was always on someone else's dime because I didn't really want to go. But like Hook said, I don't really remember having a bad time. It still gets old pretty quick. Could be that I have never been to one sober. I can pretty much have a good time anywhere if I'm jrunk.
They serve their purpose. Haven't been to one in a long time but went to quite a few years ago. You wouldn't think so when you hear the generalisms about West Virginia, but I'll tell you the Morgantown area has some amazing strippers, we used to got there a couple times a year when I was in college. I don't think my wife would care as long as it wasn't a frequent thing. I went to her cousin's batchelor party and she knew there were strippers there, she didn't care and we had a ton of fun. I imagine if there was some special event where a crew of good buddies where headed to one I'd probably go. I also have never had a bad time, I just don't see spending the $$$ except for the once every several years trip with good buds for some type of good reason like a batchelor party. I don't care how long the story is, now I wanna hear it...........
He told me he was going out to do some research on the subject so he could give us a fresh perspective. You know, learn the ins and outs of the ladies that work there.
Not my thing! The beer is a helluvalot cheaper at home. And I won't get in trouble if I sample the merchandise either!!!
I've been for bachelor parties and what not. I've seen better for free. The last time I went was a few years ago for a bachelor party. These hags kept coming up to me and asking if I wanted to buy them a drink, or if I wanted to buy a dance. I had no intention of spending money there and was tired of these skanks bothering me. When this one particularly unatractive stage hooker came up and asked me if I wanted to buy her a drink I asked her if she would like to tell me about her relationship with her dad.... I was not bothered after that and I got to drink my bourbon in piece...
The last time I went to a strip club, managed to get stabbed with a Swiss army knife....what a great night, sheesh
I have never been a big fan of them, throwing dollars at skanks you will never get is just not good financially I worked Security for a nightclub in the Chicago Suburbs and we had a couple of strip clubs that had girls that would stop up after they closed. I often had after hour parties and to say the least some ended up at my house a lot on the weekends. Can't say I met one that wasn't a train wreck, it was quite sad. With that being said I might have to bring some 8mm video's to the GTG campout if we can score a TV, I have some great moments on film. The most awkward moment involving a strip club for me was meeting up with a friend from high school for dinner, we hadn't seen each other in years. When his wife met me she had that "I know you from somewhere look and was petrified", I later asked him if she worked at the Silver Slipper in Ottawa, IL. There is something that isn't right when one of the lap dances you received was from a friends wife, even worse his wife is a stripper
Never been to one...normally I would say that makes me boring, but I have a feeling I'm not missing much.
Went occasionally in college but lost interest. The last time I was at one the whole scene was just... sad.
I've been once. And as Hook eluded to, the old guys in there blowing money creeped me out too much lol. I can't help but think guys outside of college that go to strip clubs with any regularity are the type to go home and dance around in their grandmas panties. I score way too easily at the local bars to mess with paying 10x more for a night of looking with no touching.
Been to a decent amount in my life when I was younger....never really liked them at all. I wanted to be around exciting women who laughed and did stupid stuff with me when we were three sheets to the wind and not some super coke sniffing ***** from a strip club.
Meh, just nasty. Even the "classy" places are just gross. I've never felt comfortable with old guys getting "Handies" in the same room. Haven't been since I was 18, don't plan on going back either.
Nope... never been to one. I've never lived where there were any around closer than probably 35 or 40 miles.
