I gotta buy some new stuff.........I am bored silly.

Talk me into a great HUNTING sight..........in other words, tell me what it does for you in the woods that makes it worth the purchase.

I have a Viper Predator Pro Microtune in sweet camo and it just sits on my desk.........never even seen the woods. Not that it isn't a nice sight.......but I think it is better suited for 3D or targets then hunting.

I have hunted for 6 years now with a Copper John Dead Nuts Hunter and it is a blue collar hunting sight........damn solid and haven't touched it in years........I look, it's there and my arrow hits where I put the pins.

No complaints but just looking for a new toy.......maybe some brighter pins. Wouldn't mind a sight that looks sweet on the bow either.

Atlas i also have used the copper John dead nuts sight. It was durable but i had some trouble with fibers snagging once in awhile and breaking. Right now i have the twilight hunter sights from sword. Im finding them even more durable, easy to adjust, and it comes with a pin light with three light settings. The fibers hug the pin a little more and i have had no trouble with fiber breakage, and man do they glow (on there own) Its just an all out great hunting sight. Mine has the white halo ring, and its easy and quick to get your eyes focused on peep and halo alignment. The settings are laser etched in it as well.:d you guessed it thats batman :deer:

Atlasman, I use the Vital Bowgear star bright. Now I am telling you there is no brighter sight out there, you can be walking back to your truck in the dark and still see it glowing, and you wont find a stronger sight out there. Then there is the life time garuntee if anything breaks send it in and they will replace it. Now I had a sight that was 4 years old and before they made the fiber optics biger and a couple of them broke no problem sent it into them and had a brand new sight in 5 days they are awesome!!! Only sight I will ever shoot!! Walt

I will definately check them out.........I was also looking at the black gold flashpoint ignite.......the pins on those look like they have a light on at all times......it's actually kinda weird how bright they are.

    Thanks.

I only ask that you take a look at the G5 line.

I would wait until the 09 ATA show before you spend $$$. I'd bet there will be some new products announced there, there always are. It's only a month, so it's not that long of a wait for you, and I'd bet Justin and Todd will be there taking pics and doing reviews on what they see for the store here.

With that said, the only thing that's new right now that I think deserves a real good look, is the new Axcel Armortech (manufactured in US by T.R.U. Ball). I've already got quite a bit of $$$ wrapped up in Spot Hogg's, but I may unload one to pick an Armortech up. I've handled one in person, and the machining is absolute top notch, as good as Spot Hogg, and better than anything else I've personally seen. They basically took all the best features of every good sight out there, improved on them, have MUCH better machining, and wrapped this all up into one one sight. They are pricey, but inline with other top end premium pin sights.

i'm pretty happy with my G5 MX... havin the lighted pins is great in low light conditions... its extremely lightweight and very well made... and that adjustable bottom pin makes long shots much more manageable... though I'd probably only use it going after elk or something I'd be shootin at 50yds or more... I'd buy another G5 site in a heartbeat for my next bow... in fact my next bow likely will have one... the XR model this time...

I have to agree, may not be the most microadjustable sight out there...but I call BS if someone says another company has brighter pins. this sight is brighter without a light than my last sight with a light, LOL.

I dont shoot the adjustable though, I shoot the fixed angled pins, and love them. I used to shoot the Triangle 3 pin. I sent it in to be rewrapped in different colors, and bought a pentagon 5 pin to fill the void. I like the extra pins, and left it on and kept the 3 pin as back up. I have them both in a GYGYG (GYG) color scheme, and like this as well. I HATE red pins, they suck low light, mid day...doesn't matter, they dont show as well as yellow or green.

Vital Gear baby! The rest are forced to design around Vital Gear's patented fiber-optic holding methods! It's their advantage over them all IMO.
