Well I was heading up north this past weekend to try for a doe or two to put some meat in a couple of friends freezer that need the meat. Well my cousin Jack called me right before I was leaving and asked if he could tag along, well we got all the way up to my Mom & Dads and Saturday morning came and we walked out to my truck to get my stand as I was dressed and bow in hand and my cousin asked me did you put my bow in the house and I said NO well he forgot his bow he had his stand camo arrows everything needed but a bow and it was an awesome morning no deer seen but the run ways were huge because of the depth of the snow. Well my cousin got laid off Friday and they told him they didn't know if he would get called back or not and he really needed some meat so I told him when I returned from hunting that I would let him use my bow. So we went out and pulled out the target and he shot 6 arrows in the bulls eye and didn't even have to change my sight one bit. Well I sent him to my stand last night and he smoked a a big ole doe (sorry camera with us) with my 101st airborne and grimreapers and she didn't even go 50 yards.. And I got to spend the night with my mom and dad in front of the fireplace.. Pretty good weekend I just wish I had the chance to sit a little more than one morning!! Walt

Walt, you'll be blessed for that one. Ain't it just the simple things in life we look for. Glad for your cousin that he got a deer. Hope & pray that he may get a job. I've been down that road several times, having to use the state aid program for food. Not a good feeling at all. what does he do? some one here may be able to help him out, Ie: know of a job opening, looking to hire, etc. If we could pool our resources, I'm sure that we can help each other out in these times.

Thanks guys, He works in the maintence dept at a tool and die shop and does roofing on the side as his second job but being winter that is pretty much done for now. Yeh he was pretty excited and so was I, It was cool that he was able to just pick up my bow and shoot it with the exact settings and then go out and smoke a big ole slick head.. Jack has never been out of work too long he is just one of those guys that will do anything and it shows when he is looking, He is really hopeing to go back to his old job because he has been there for over 10 years and has a really cool boss. Walt
