Heard that last week. It's too bad they're closing it down, they were my "go to" guys when I needed something done on my bow that I couldn't do myself. Should be interesting to see where the local "crew" ends up once it's shut down.

Now we need someone else to open up a shop around here - they were the last "local" Mathews dealer!

They aren't closing up b/c of monetary reasons. They're closing down the archery dept of the store b/c the manager is moving out of state and they are turning it into more space to sell guns/ammo. There's higher profit to be made in that stuff and it's a booming business for them, whereas archery isn't a big money maker as we all know. More of a strategic business decision rather than a closing due to monetary problems.

Still sucks though. I always enjoyed going up to GAT and hanging with the boys.

Just got back, the place is a madhouse. Tried to get a Carbon Element or a z7 but they were only knocking $200.00 off, even quoted the $475.00 price:(

I did walk out with a two dozen axis nano 340's, 2 Scott releases and some NAP Crossfires all for 50% off. Wish I needed more but didn't and the wife wanted me out of there before I bought another bow. Sad to see them getting rid of the archery stuff.

How much longer do you think they'll be having all the sales?

That's a bummer. I used to work across the street from the place and my sister worked at G.A.T.. but I hardly ever bought anything archery related from them.
I don't blame Greg for moving out-of-state. Quinn's tax plan is working great!

Hey Justin Myself and a few other guys are looking into opening a archery shop. I have already put in an offer at GAT to purchase all of thier equipment. We would have 3 very well educated bow techs. Basically guys that could make a bad shooter with a crooked bow shoot straight. I will let you know as we move forward with it.
As far as thier discounts I bought an apache draop away $30, a bone collector broadhead target $35, and a rienhart large cube target for $25.

Tim is great and makes custom string for a pretty darn good price. They are close to Coon Creek as well.

I stopped by there yesterday and they still had a bunch of stuff left but nothing I could pull the trigger on. I seriously thought about another Z7 but logic ***** slapped me in the face. Walked in with a wad of cash and walked out with the same wad of cash. I think I'm going to put it away for the GWW coat I want. :bash:
