There is a glut a gas in Western Texas that they can't get to the NE or Centeral US so they say. Because of this they say there is too much gas so why produce more therby causing a shortage in areas. Make's sense huh :bash:

They blame our whole economic problems on housing but I say it all started with the gas prices and rolled from there. But no you don't hear much on the radio or tv
    about that.

You may be onto something there, and as OPEC was gouging us, they damaged the economy of the whole world, and actually pinched themselves a bit. I believe that's why they came back on the oil prices, because otherwise, they were damning their own survival. It's all ONE BIG SYSTEM, and when you start messing with one part of it, other parts are affected.

2.05 here in NY. Once we start using less fuel oil to heat the houses (spring time) and people start to travel more.........I'm sure they will climb again. I'd expect $3.5x prices again by end of summer.

I've been saying that from the get go. 70% of the goods I believe are transported via truck. Keep the diesel prices down and this economy will get better but the stores also have to follow along and drop there prices too. That part hasn't happened and I don't see It happening. Greed!!:mad1:

The low oil prices are slowly killing the economy in LA.

Many in LA are praying for the oil prices to go back up.

    Good thing you're driving a Titan:cool: :d

In all seriousness, I too think gas is only short-lived at this price.

Hey, thanks, that's a cool sight. It's all a crock anyway. The oil companies are just like every one else and running on greed. When asked why the gas prices went up .20 last week while the barrel went below $35, they commented that it's different oil than what's used for making gasoline. The word is that they were looking to cut back production to raise prices, and of course the stupid lemmings in the stock market freaked and drove the barrel up the next day.
Pay close attention to how the price jumps in the summer. Always a catastrophe or reason for the spike: too much anit-rust additive ruining batch, winter/summer blend, oxygenated blends, midwest/east/west coast blends, mysterious explosions at plants, etc. etc.

It is NATURAL for gas prices to rise with demand, even in the BEST economy....even when times were booming Gas will always be slightly more on holidays and summers than during winters...BUT, the kicker is, it shouldn't be double, lol. OPEC isn't criminal persay, they are just a middle eastern corporation looking out for their best interests...they don't give two craps about the people of America, the sad part is, our government and economy have allowed this dependence on OPEC to develop. OPEC screwed up the gas prices, which obviously hurt the economy.

You could expect a rise in gas for the summer, even if the DOW was at 15000. it always happens. People drive more...I am just scared about just how much it will go up. I am just hoping it doesn't hit that $4/gal mark like last summer, that REALLY cuts into mowing profits. I could only imagine having a diesel rig like Steve with $5+ per gallon. yikes.

Try buying it at 1000 gallons a pop then finding out it went down a dime or two the next day. That's always a kick in the pants.
