Well it defiantly looks cool, and has some awesome features. Garmin being a very repuitible company IMHO is on to something here. No doubt just like anything else the first generation will be blown out of the water providing they can sell enough and receive some goo practical feed back from the field, but at a price of $799- $999 I'm thinking Garmin will need to do some serious sponsorships. I've got to believe the price will drop eventually but I'm not holding my breath.

It does look interesting. I was watching the setup video... seems a bit tedious, but I think it should be easy enough. I'd like to see some real world results from "normal" hunters and not just paid sponsors to see how it truly works. That's a lot of $$ for a sight. If it is what they say it is, it cpuld be a game changer.

I think my limit for this would be 300 right now. Love the concept. Considering my current sight is in the 40-60 range. The one thing they are missing for me...is the no-peep or IQ feature.

Nope I don't think I would buy it. I hunt in a place that ranges are known because I can practice shooting from the stand. If I were headed out west to hunt it would be worth the investment in a couple years if the price comes down.

My biggest concern is above the over reaching over technology which is a rabbit hole all its own is how many time using your range finder have you caught a blade of grass or a twig and gotten a false range. That happens looking through a 6x optic, what happens in the heat of the moment when everything needs to come to together? I'm pretty lucky with long arms and decent arrow speed I can shoot single pin out to 30 and be OK. I can only see this being useful at 40 yards and beyond which increases the possibilities of a false read even more.

It's gonna be great for guys who are lousy shots because It adds another excuse to their arsenal. Now instead of blaming a twig or "he jumped the string" they can just say "this darn garmin gave me a bad reading again!"

I agree... I don't hunt anywhere where I ever really need to use more than my 1 pin that is pretty much good up to 30 yards... I like my HHA single pin... works fine for the Northeast and keeps me within my effective comfortable range.

I think it is a pretty interesting concept and look forward to seeing it put to use by real hunters to get their honest feedback about it. The bow shop in my area already has 8 of them pre-ordered by customers. For now I am going to stick with my HHA King Pin but you never know in a year or two if the price changes it might be something I would consider.

It's not legal in most western states where it could be most beneficial curious if they'll try to lobby for a rule change or just hope the market share sells where people typically shoot 40 and less

It's super cool, but it's not for me. Out of my price range, I practice regularly for my distances, and I like the sight I own. I'm sure it has it's place! :tu:

I use a Fast Eddie XL sight, and have issues seeing the yardage marker on the wheel in my ground blind (due to darkness). I think, as long as there is no weeds/sticks blocking the path of the sight picture to the animal, the Xero will be a great ground blind product.

I do agree with others that range finders can give a false range due to a stick in the way. I do see one major downfall of the Xero nobody else talked about; The Xero probably WILL NOT work if you are trying to use shoot through netting in your ground blind. The reason I state this is neither of my range finders will give a reading through the netting.

Most likely not been talked about because It’s pretty obvious (or should be) that they won’t work through blind or any type of netting

I am picking one up to play with. Should be fun. If I don’t like I can dump it.

I’m am still completely blown away by this sight. It’s got quite a few benefits, the rangefinder is very accurate and the software is spot on so far with all the shot situations I have put it through.
