Anybody care to share pics of there garage or any different ideas that you put into it?

I just purchased a home 1 1/2yrs ago and in a couple years I will be building a detached garage and am just trying to see some ideas. I had a football party last week and my house is just not big enough for such events.
We also have our first child on the way, and I am already out of storage space so its time to expand!

I dont need a big "workshop" area as I hardly do any tinkering or building of anything, a small workbench somewhere will suffice.

I need plenty of storage, but would like to keep the area open and inviting.

I know it will be two story as I will set up my own personal bowshop upstairs.

So any pics or ideas would be great, basically looking to have a detached 2-3 bay garage with plenty of storage and basically an extension of the house for more entertaining area.

I'll take some pix this weekend, during the daylight and post later. I live in a flood zone so it was paramount to get everything off the garage floor. Built shelving high on all three sides. I finished the walls, added insulation, and did my own sheet rock and modding. Took me about 8 months by myself.

I have a two story barn that I keep putting off finishing. Have the 100A sub and one outlet, lol.

I also second Garage Journal. Those guys are nuts about their garages.

    Definitely consider radiant floor heating.

Radiant floor Heating is an option I have in mind but not sure yet, it all depends on what fuel source I end up using for the garage and the toal sq ft. I actually installed carwashes for 6yrs and we put Radiant floor heat in all of them so I have a little experience with it so that helps!

Actually I foundd that site right after I posted this thread. I signed up and am lurking around, it is keeping me busy for sure!

I'm planning on building a large pole barn roughly about 40x70 in size. 1/3 for machine repair/fabricating, 1/3 for a wood working shop and 1/3 for a man cave.
