im looking into an epoxy or what not to put on the garage floor. Something that will last for years to come. There wont be any cars parked in the garage just an ATV or motorcycle (if im ever cool enough) but i would like it to be very resistant to oils and spills. I was leaning towards one of the kits you can buy at a box store but the few i have seen just havent held up well and began peeling. Have kind of looked at the snap together mats but they really dont do much for me and id much rather have a paint/roll on flooring. any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Chances are the peeling was due to improper prep work. Best results call for power washing with a degreaser , let it fully dry. Some of the primers require the floor to be damp when the primer is applied, some don't. Then let the primer set per instructions. I've seen lots of them , and the ones that do adhere are mainly because the owner did the prep correctly. Older it is , more work involved because of the accumulation over the years. Never done the mats, painting is a waste of time in my opinion.
