Some of you might have seen my thread on my gsx 3 in 1 parka from gander mountain. well the other day the girlfriends dog ate a hole in the hood. this was a $300 coat i was beond pissed, then i remember i paid $10 for the added protection plan. i called gander mountain at around 7pm they answerd and said it was coved and to bring it by my local store and exchange it. i have no idea why i bought the added protection plan but sure glad i did. when i whent to the store they had no more gsx 3 in 1 parkas (when i bought mine they was on clearance 50% off about7 weeks before this) and they couldnt find it online on there store website ether. they said they could put it on store charge but i would only get $150 (50% of 300) so i looked for something differant and found one in a 2xl, i wear a large. but was able to swap the hood on the 2xl and put it on my large it was about a inch too long but that is fine. the people said i might try calling goretex and see if they cant send me a hood. over all i am pleased and the best part i only spent money on the gas over there! so if i have any advice spend the extra $10 well worth it!

Yea the Summit Protection Plan is a supper nice feature offered by Gander Mountain. Even if the problem is your fault, they will still honor the replacement and you get a new one for just the 5-10 dollar fee.

I bought the plan when I got some duck decoys at Cabelas. They said it covered gun shots so figured it was worth it. Actually had a buddy shoot up one of them and they replaced it no questions. Cashier thought I was nuts at checkout asking it gunshots were covered though. Couldnt believe I was the first to ask her that question.

Im unfortunate in my retail shop selection where I live in that I don't have my preferred stores of Cabelas and Scheels in close proximity. That said, I do buy some merchandise from Gander Mtn. from time to time when in a pinch. For the St. Croix rods I buy and a couple ice fishing poles I have bought the protection plan and it has been well worth it.

haha i know! she felt bad about the dog eating my hood for a little bit but i gues i was "b!tching" to much and she took the dogs side and said it was my fault for leaving the coat where the dog could get to it... i cant win

LOL. I was hanging out with a friend the other day. His girlfriend was asleep in the recliner with their 5or 6month old baby. Well, she dropped the kid on the floor.

She had the audacity to tell my buddy that it was HIS fault SHE dropped the kid. I was stunned. "well you should've taken him"

    I still can't believe it.
