So... After I get out of the woods tonight, headed down there for a new pair of boots.

    Lacrosse? Irish Setter?

Help me here! I'm 6'6 250 and need a pair of lightly insulated boots that will hold up.

I have both an uninsulated and insulated rubber boot from Lacrosse. The uninsulated I've had for a few years now and they are still going strong. The insulated however are new to me this year, so far so good with them though.

If you're getting rubber boots and they have Mucks.......get the Mucks.

They do..they have Muck Boot™ Fieldblazer™ Hunting Boot
    $109.95

I was leaning towards either Mucks or Lacrosse.

Have to see what fits my big ole foot.

Apparently if we bring a Copy of our DD214 or Mil. I.D. to Applebees or Chillis, we get a free dinner !!

I tried on a bunch of boots...

Went with the Muck Woody Max. It was a toss up - the new Irish Setter was nice, but pretty tight, the Lacrosse sent blockers were really nice, but had so many "parts" to them I was afraid of them falling apart/delaminating.

The Mucks were easy on, easy off... $129 less 40% not too bad.

Appreciate the input from all of you!

Woody max is an awesome boot. I got 4 yrs use (100's of sits) out of mine before they started breaking down. Even still, I wear 'em when I know I won't get wet.

Good luck, and thanks to all of you vets for your service.

Sorry brother...get on their e-mail distro, It was how I found out, crammed in a ride to our GM and scored my boots right before closing time on Thur (actually, I scored a rain check since they were out of mutant sizes on the Mucks I wanted).

    Next year?
