You don't need one, judge the last 3 years not the last game.

Ummm okay? We went from top 5 defense...to dead last...to 20th this year. With 2 very poor playoff performances.

Something needs to change. And its not McCarthy.

LOL...no need to get Lovie to stick it to the Bears, we're already doing it without him! :tu:

All these "allstars" on defense and no one showed up again. They've done that a few times lately. That guy who was blocking Mathews all night Is a stud!! I was Impressed with the niners QB.

"Since Capers took over as defensive coordinator in ’09, the Packers rank No. 1 in the NFL in total takeaways (110), No. 1 in
interceptions (85), No. 3 in opponent passer rating (72.7) and No. 4 in points allowed (18.7)."

He's obviously a capable coach, the only variable from then and now is players and injuries. You guys lost some key players to injuries this year. Where do you think your defense would have rated if these guys stayed healthy? Higher than 20th I bet.

The problem I see with the packers d is that they are built to stop the pass which beats 3/4 of the nfl. However when they run into a physical run orientated type offense they struggle.

When you have all the receivers covered and Kaepernick is able to scramble like he did last night, thats hard to stop IMO.

I believe your numbers are a little generous...our defense peaked in 2009+2010 under Capers and has been on the downword slide the last 2 seasons. And like i said...the defense simply hasnt shown up in our 3 playoff losses with him (Cardinals 09, Giants 11, 49ers 12). Cant blame it on injuries either, because we had 15 on IR during that miracle 2010 season.

My numbers are quoted directly from the packers website.

So you want to change back to a 4-3 defense then? That's Lovie's system. That means Clay would be playing out of place. Kind of like Aaron Kampmon a few years ago when the switched to the 3-4 defense. No thanks!
