I own a Kitchen Aid Table Top mixer. Might I suggest getting this, and the attachments?
It's definitly worth it, unless you are thinking of "mass production"...
Just a thought. I love it, It cleans up really easily, and there is seriously, almost too many options, and attachments for it.

Plus, I have put this thing through SO much, and it just keeps going.

    Hope it helped.

    Thanks,
I will go home and check on what the model # is on my wife's unit to order the parts I need... Didn't even think of using this for what little meat we will be processing.:o:o. I harvested a 180# doe in Illinois two weeks ago and only got back 50# of meat:confused:

...Was your doe...big boned? or thick skinned? I know you have to take bones, skin, etc into consideration, but seriously, you should have gotten at least 100# out of it? Right?

No, I think my butcher is thick skinned and big boned!!!:D
I have visited with several knoweldgeable people about this and I am getting different formulas for figuring out what I should have recieved, 65% of dressed wieght, 1/3 of actual wieght, and so on. I have written this off to "do it yourself".
    Thanks for all the info.

Well depends on whether your 184 is dressed or live weight.

Dressed weight 184 would get you 97 pounds of meat
Live weight would get you about 83.

This is assuming you take everything, meat off ribs, neck, all scraps for burgers etc etc. That's with no added meat or fat for making burgers, sausage etc. Figures are for averag buck with horns.
