Lame? Thats a personal POV, you know as well as I do that a lot of people are going to come in to a a specific thread about their favorite show just to be teased to some extent or in some fashion. This story itself is a never ending roundabout of teases because of the twists and turns. I think it's pretty obvious that something IS going to happen to Tyrion at this point....whether or not you're talking about the books or the show.
My POV, teasing about what may happen in this thread is lame. Like Hooker's post if you agree Like Mr. Lame's post if you agree with him.
I caught up on the last few episodes yesterday and watched the finale this morning. A lot of stuff happened that I wasn't expecting.
the last 3 episodes were great, some real jaw dropping! I wasn't expecting a few things in the finale....i'll wait for a few more to chime in before i begin full discussion!!
I've not watched it yet but since it's too muddy here today to work in the field, I think I'll go watch it now.
I finished watching it a while ago. I've been out digging new taters for a half an hour or so. Fantastic episode and I pretty much knew they were going to end the season with what they did. I know I've been told to forget about the books but I just can't, lol. All I'm going to say is that they part enough to make it a really nice new experience for even those that have already read the available books. I think it's interesting how they manage that and my hats off to them for a job well done.
Some how some way I hope the hound gets saved since they did not really show him dying maybe there is a chance.
I was suprised to see stannis and his army to show up, but you knew he was gonna be a big player somehow. almost makes you like him?! Still can't believe tyrion killed his father!! or did he? i think he did because you heard the bells rang. Arya's story is getting really interesting...I'm gonna have to go back and watch the interaction scenes with her and that guy who gave her the coin.(can't remember his name...lol) do you think tyrion will go to the wall? or what will become of him now? I'm bored with the mother of dragons storyline as of late.. sucks we have to wait 9 months for it to start again
I'll say that even I don't know what happens to The Hound, I admit that he won me over as a bit of a fan beginning when he saved Sansa the one night at Kings Landing. Arya...or as everyone seems to have evolved the pronunciation of her name this season to "Ioa"... I don't know what they have in store for her either but what I know is that her story arc remains very interesting. I'm not sure what kind of group or cult the guy is a part of that gave her that coin but it must be some pretty darn impressive and unspoken "known" that sure commands respect, very cool. The fight between Sandor and Brienne I enjoyed a great deal, lol. I don't think Tywin is going to survive two bolts to the chest but who knows at this point. The Mountain was indeed poisoned, wow, I have no idea where they go with that from here on either. I don't see how the excommunicated Maester is going to do anything by bleeding him but we'll see. Stannis...ah I kinda like Stannis as of late but I can't make up my mind on the fire god and red woman priest. Hopefully they develop the religion and stuff next season so we can see more what it's about and how it ties in with bringing to life the good equivilent to White Walkers. Tyrion...well, Tyrion is along for quite a ride from here on and is going to go whichever way fate flings him. All I'm going to say but it should be a fun ride and extremely interesting to watch. Danny...yeah there's a part of her story that gets too involved in life and politics where she is but it turns around and gets back on track and there's some interesting "stuff" that happens along the way. Take heart in knowing that her dragons need time to grow before she takes her army and efforts back to Westeros...if she ever gets to that point it should be something to see. Gah...I can't believe they offed Jojen! I didn't see that coming, maybe it's been too long since I read these books? I have to admit that Bran's story has me completely baffled at this point and my speculations have taken me to some pretty darn wild places concerning his story. I can NOT wait to see what they do with this arc and character. Without a doubt all the Stark children are pretty exceptional, if they pair the two most exceptional things in this show up at some point I'm going to wet myself! Next season should bring some interesting twists with Mance Raider and also Reek (formerly Theon Greyjoy). John Snow, my favorite character, must have had a pretty cool mother as he seems better suited to the Stark name than even his father, lol. If they kill off his character I'm going to be seriously ticked. Watch for an interesting evolving relationship between Stannis and John and the whole arc. Don't know what they are doing but I can't wait to find out.
The keep offing the hot chicks, this upsets me. I thought for sure Bran would walk again. Where is the Red Dragon? John Snow is a bad ***, cannot wait to see what happens next year with him. I loved when my girl just walked away from the Hound.
That is the beauty of the series...you never know when someone will be killed, it can literally happen to anyone. When I read the series and Papa Stark was killed I thought wooooe!
Haha, oh I know! I watched the first season before I ever read the books and when Ned got beheaded I was like, "WTF?, Who the heck kills off a main character?"
I wonder if john snow and the red devil woman are gonna intertwine somehow, the way she was looking at him through the fire was pretty cool.
I think Snow is smart enough to be weary of her wiley character. She's an interesting character because she has foresight and is constantly trying to manipulate the timeline, which she is successful far more often than not. Snow has great potential both in character and also in inheritance being the oldest remaining son of Ned Stark, surely those facts have not escaped the attention of the red witch and her plans for Stannis. Unfortunately Snow is duty bound by taking the black oath and unless there's some intervention and he willingly gets out of the oath to take a wife he can't ever take his fathers position at Winterfell. I get the feeling that a lot of pieces to a vast puzzle will fall into place if a few certain events take place but Martin has an uncanny ability to keep readers totally off balance so we'll see how it goes....if it was predictable it wouldn't be as much fun. I've decided to revisit this thread against my best judgement. The finale was awesome. I didn't think I could possibly like Tyrion any more...and then the finale happened. I wonder why they haven't shown much of Littlefinger and Sansa lately, I wonder what's up his sleeve next. And Reek, is he conjuring an escape now that he's been given a longer leash and allowed to "act" as himself? Arya is going to turn into a crazy BA soon, I feel it. Something doesn't sit right about Jaime and Cersi getting back together, surley that won't last long and she's going to become desperate for someone to side with her and something will go wrong there. I still think there is something about Jon Snow and Dani, there's something fishy about those two. Both mother's died giving birth, both of their lovers died, and heck now there's question about Jon's parents. Bran's storyline, meh. I'm sure it's significant but if he's just going to replace that tree dude and foretell the future or control people from the tree I'm not sure how interested I am in that.
