I wanted him to die a slow and painfully agonizing death. And then drag it out longer and even more painful.
That was very well done. I thought it was going to be in ep3, so even as a book reader I was shocked in happened this episode
Who is your favorite character storyline to follow and vice versa? Favorite: Tyrion Lannister with Sansa storyline, or John Snow's storyline (so hard to choose) Least favorite: the Baratheon guy with that witch...boring boring boring
All in all, I'd have to say Bran Stark's story line is the most intriguing to me just because I feel it has the most potential for the coolest twists and turns. Second would be John Snow.
So I have been catching up by watching online and I just watched the Red Wedding episode. I had no prior knowledge of this episode and I didn't investigate, everyone just kept telling me I had to catch up and watch it. Having now watched the Red Wedding I think I am done watching this show, I could care less if this happened in the books or not, I think it was the dumbest direction this story could have gone in.
Keep watching because the purple wedding makes up for it. You will be crying tears of joy! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I was pissed when I read it too...was in shock for a while that Martin took it that direction. I read on anyway and finally realized it as a move and strategy that makes his unorthodox style of writing such mad genius. There's plenty of supernatural .....I'll stop there.
Hadn't had a chance to watch the new season until tonight. Since I don't have HBO at school. I thought they were both pretty good episodes. I'm glad Joffrey is dead. It was funny I was telling my GF I wish he would die already when he was being a **** to tyrion and then boom there he goes. I just look at her and she laughs. The only bad part is it will be another couple weeks before I see any episodes so I will have to stay out of this thread like I did before so I don't get any spoilers. Can't wait to see how it plays out from here. Sent from my iPhone
The sword through the back of his head and out of his mouth was pure poetry!!!! I loved, "I just have a few more, The Hound"
The sword was great!!! Pretty decent season so far, trying not to get attAched to any characters! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I haven't read the books and I know the storyline is already set in stone but I guess my point is, for all the ways he killed other people I didn't feel justice or satisfaction with how Joffrey died. It was weak in my opinion. If he had to be killed I wanted someone to dismember him and do it in public, gore and horror but instead it was an old grandma and (likely Petyr Baelish) to poison him in secret. But, I felt like it was a redemption killing that was forced because of the red wedding. I don't think anyone liked Joffrey but he made the perfect bad guy for a true rivalry. The show goes from light speed to a screeching halt. The only good "hero" left is John Snow, and depending on the direction things go possibly Tyrion. Bran and Arya, meh, kind of annoying characters to me. I don't mind crazy swings of the plot but I'm not a fan of doing things just for shock value or because they aren't expected. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, it's just like every other show, I am very opinionated and would do things differently.
He was the king and they were trying to make it look like it was someone else... Not sure how the Red Wedding brought it to a "screeching halt"? If anything, it sped it up. Oh...and there are no "heroes" in Game of Thrones. You need to realize that before you go any further. There is only gray.
