What do you guys like to eat for game day food? At home or tailgating. Seems I always end up with pizza if I get food for game day at home. I need to mix it up, looking for ideas. I had this bad boy a couple weeks ago for the Ohio State, Cal game... This is game day food when you are running C-bus, meet the Thurmanator....
I usually like making slow cooked meals, like gumbo, chili, jambalaya, smoke a butt etc. I'll be making a giant pot of deer chili for tomorrow. Just something that I can cook while drinking all day.
Speaking of tomorrow, what's the feeling coming out of LSU camp about the game tomorrow? Gator fans feel pretty good about UF's chances, but realize LSU likely isn't as bad as they've played lately. Should be a good one.
Since LSU fans are always miserable, the feeling is pretty bleak. Most think a loss is coming. I never know. I know Les Miles' teams have always played down to opponents, so I really have no idea what might happen tomorrow. I can see every scenario playing out, and I would not be shocked by any.
I have been wanting to go get a Thurmanator ever since I saw it on Man vs Food. I'm going to the game vs Purdue and thought about hitting that joint then.
I'm a dip advocate myself. We make buffalo chicken dip, 7 layer taco dip, guacamole, chili cheese dip, or cheese burger dip.
We also watch the games on my 104" projector... it's pretty sweet. Happy to share my recipes Send a PM if you want We also like mini pigs in a blanket vs lil smokey's with BBQ sauce. We go snack food, not meal food.
I usually go on a liquid diet for game days. That said, I would get scheduled to work 9-8 the first day of actually good football match ups. I'll be Tivoing LSU UF and USCjr UGA to watch tomorrow night, and won't be checking my phone until I have watched them. Money is riding on both.
