I've had great luck with all the Primos calls for elk and deer. I use their estrus can and the Buck Roar the most.
Can call works wonders in early season especially if your going after does Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2
i used a small hit on the can call to bring in a buck last year. Most name brand calls will work, main thing to look out for is reed type calls have a tendency to freeze in cold weather, its nice to have one with some type of pitch slider or mechanism to move and break the ice.
I love my MAD hypergrowl, or atleast that is what I think it's called. I also use a primos bleat call. One of those cans. Both seem to work for me
Tru-talker always worked good for me - but started making my own open reed calls(using a homemade call when I got my 8pt last fall) -nice to be able to adjust pitch with just your teeth
