The test. In twenty minutes I tried to reproduce an as deer-like test I could throw together with what I had on hand. I used a 3 ply piece of fabric as hide. 3/16ths of an inch pegboard as ribs and a plastic bin with a 3 inch thick piece of upholstery foam with an 1/8 inch sheet of cardboard In front and back of the foam. Yeah I know not very deer like but best i had on hand.

The results. Quite dismal if you ask me. The holes in the front and back pieces of cardboard are no more than 3/4 of an inch and the entrance hole is nearly the size of a pencil eraser

Weird thing is I know it deployed because on the other side of the cardboard I found it open and te spider clips had clearly deployed.

Not sure about the test....but I know on Deer they are very good. Some nasty holes and lots of blood.

I'm sure they will kill deer, but I've heard they're not very durable. Good for you doing a test.

That's the one great part about them I shot them through a 3/4 inch piece of plywood and it was fine except for one bent blade
