i can tell you this much about them. they shoot nicely(125Gr) and will shave fletchings if you shoot them at the same dot. but i would suggest getting the practice heads. at least you dont need to resharpen them after a day of shooting.

From my experience, even the new ones out of the package are as dull as a practice head.

    So, what's the difference?

the ones i bought were shaving sharp. i actually cut my finger pulling them out of those stupid plastic or rubber tubes they put on the threads. i still dont understand why they put them on there.

I had a similar experience. I barely touched the first broadhead and I learned to be more careful. It turned out to be a good sign because the G5 montec CS assisted me in taking two out of the four deer I was blessed with this past season. The other two were taken with assistance of a slick trick.

No. I just shoot a set of dull/bad blades in them for practice and them switch them out with new blades before I hunt. I then set aside the practice blades to trade back later in the season, or I leave a couple arrows with dull blades on them specifically for practice.

PM if you need some 125 grain practice blades. I think I've got plenty laying around.

I shoot Montechs sometimes....just use the heads you are gonna hunt with and shapen them on a flat diamond stone...like Dan said, they are too dull IMO out of the package anyway

I have 2 packs of them just for practice. Then I have a set of non-practice I use to hunt.
The practice ones are about 10 bucks cheaper per pack and I use them for all day shooting practice and tuning.

I have a free $20 from ****s and was going to pick up a package of muzzys. I think they come with a few practice blades, if not you can dull a few sets of blades and get replacement ones.
I have been very happy with my G5s, just going to get these to try.
