    What kind of oil do you put on montec cs to stop from rusting?

    On my carbon steel knives I've used vegetable oil .
    Any oil will work but I don't want to cut up sausage with 10w-30.

    +1 on veggie oil. Grandpa used it forever too. I used it on my killzones but I think I'm gonna scrub it off, got pretty gummy after a year.

    I store them like I store my tackle. In Plano boxes with the do not eat silica gel packs.
