Has anyone had the chance to shoot either of these bows? Just wondering how the bow feels, noise, vibration etc.

The Impact and Defy are Prime bows... Prime is its own company producing its own bows. I own a Centroid and it is the best bow i have ever shot. The accuracy amazes me, draw is nice and smooth and the back wall is as solid as any bow could possibly get! They are really fast too. From what i have heard the Defy is even nicer than the 2012 bows! I would see if you can shoot one at your local shop.

I have shot both an to me the impact was the bow I liked best out of the two it was very smooth draw an no vibration at all the bow I shot was a 60# bow an you could draw back an stop as the cams were starting to roll over and easy it back into full draw or hold it there an you could do the same letting down from full draw without having that feeling like the cams wanted to take off on you. I ordered one so you can say I liked it. A bow that everyone needs to shoot before buying anything

shot both the 2012 bows, owned the centroid. they shoot AMAAAZING. My centroid was loud, i couldnt get it quiet enough to be happy with, so i sold it. i have shot a few others and they were not super quiet either...that being said, standing a few feet away from someone shooting the same bow, it did not seem very loud...just me i guess. i do want to shoot the new bows really bad, but the pro shop that used to sell them here, no longer does, so i have no idea who close to me sells them. i tried the dealer locator on their site, but it did not work for me. i live in north east ohio, if anyone knows of a dealer up here! they are amazingly accurate and hold very stable! great bows, great finish, super great riser material(the best aluminum out there) and fit and finish is second to none...great bows, great company

They really worked some of the kinks out for 2013..
2012 had some issues...but 2013s where getting rave reviews...and I can see why...
The Impact is a real shooter. I Like everything about it but the weight. Stable holds well, little bit stiffer draw then I would like but I would deal with it, dead on the shoot and quite. The centroids I shot last year were way to loud, not so the impact . But The weight keeps getting me ...it tipped scales all set up with a quiver over 7 pounds....I most likely will get to shoot her some more this weekend when my buddy brings her over to be tuned.
I been wanting to try out a Defy but no one is stocking them around me....

that is good to hear, about the noise...that is the ONLY thing i could not get over. the weight is a little bit of an issue for some people, but if everything else is that good, i could live with it...afterall, a heavier bow, holds a lot steadier than a light one. but still, it is nice to have a light bow, and put the weight where you want it.

I forgot to mention...the grip on the impact is substantial and very high. Not something that works for me, but it is comfortable and I bet a few people will like it .

Obsession came out with really strong line up this year. New Breed are pretty nice shooting bows, balanced performance and shoot ability. I have a Lycian that is really sweet, easy bow to shoot.

It made me not want to shoot my bow anymore an just take that home  I didnt even really know about elite before but now when i look for a new bow they are on my list. Which is hopefully soon maybe my birthday :tu:

I have a 2012 Answer and 2013 Hunter...both great shooting bows. I had to pick between them I would probably choose....both. I really like them.

    What are you shooting Oly?

I absolutely love my Centroid. If these Prime bows has a Mathews Logo on them, they would be the best selling bow in the industry. Prime is gaining respect though, and if they keep putting out new innovative products, they could start taking a larger market share.

I have a 2011 PSE Stinger right now but i really want to upgrade to a higher end bow. That hunter is really nice i also shot the Chill which was also really nice. But i have yet to really shoot anything else since i dont have the money to buy one yet but i will have to shoot a lot of bow when that time comes.

Right. Just after shooting some bows i started picking out what i like and dont like on a bow and there are some dislikes with my bow now. I picked this bow to get started into archery and hunting. But now i want to upgrade and let the bow pick me so to speak.

That's the way. It takes owning one for awhile to determine your real likes as dislikes....now when you go and shoot bows you have good foundation draw from.

...and about your Mathews logo comment, this is a better bow than any Mathews out there, period. Let me start off by saying Matt is probably the most amazing and all around greatest guy in the archery industry. He does more for charity and archery as a whole than anyone else. They are a great company, and they put out a GOOD product, not great in my opinion, but definately good. They have the greatest customer service of anyone I have ever dealt with, I have used it several times and they set the standards for what customer service should be, period. I used to be 'brain washed' by their marketing, and would buy the new Mathews bows before I ever shot them, year after year. I honestly believe that if they didnt pay their shooters as much money as they do, they would not have the shooter that they do. Their marketing is amazing, but their products are not the best out there anymore, like they once were. There is nothing else that can really be done with the single cam technology, and it is a fix to a problem that no longer exists(string stretch, and cam timing)....and Matt was smart enough to see this, so he started building the dual cam bows. Now the single cam bows are as smooth as anything out there, and they have a cult like following...but it is old technology with nothing else to offer in my opinion. I also believe that if those shooters would try another brand, and were not offered rediculous amounts of money, they would be shooting a different brand. I think every one person has their 'best bow in the world', no matter what brand that may be...but for these people saying, 'Mathews is the best, period, second to none..." that is the most arrogant and ignorant statement someone could make...and this goes for any brand, not just Mathews. I do not think they offer enough for me to shoot one though, just my opionion. I like a lot of differnt bows, and if they ever make another bow that I like, that i feel is in some way better than the current bows in my stable, I would own another one...but untill they do, I will shoot what I shoot. I feel the same about a couple other brands that tout speed, and pretty much, that is the only thing that company has to offer...so I will not be shooting those bows. I like Matt, and his company...they are among the best people in the industry, but in my opinion, their products are sub par, it is just the marketing is so good, most people that see their ads constantly, that have not shot the rest of the bows out there...just fall for it and believe that no other bow comes close. I cannot say enough good about Matt and his company, so dont think I am trying to say anything bad about the company, and their bows...they are just simply not the best bows out there anymore, and so many other companies offer bows that are superior in my belief....and Prime is definately one of them. This is purely my belief and opinion, so please save the "Mathews basher!" grief for someone who is actually bashing the company, I just think there are a lot of better bows out there...my opinion
