Does anyone here dye furs? I am wanting to dye some australian opossum for fly tying purposes. As far as I can tell no one sells it in black, only natural. Anyone know where to find fur dyes for something like this? Any tips?
LOL... if only you'd made this post last week. We caught a jet black possum in one of our bobcat sets. Didn't feel like messing with him, so I turned him loose. (Even though I know how much havoc they play on nesting birds like quail and turkey I still find it hard to kill something that I'm not going to eat or put up.) Pulled all my sets from that area or I'd keep a lookout for him for ya.
Thanks, Greg, but Australian opossum fur is much softer than the critters running around the midwest. If you are heading to Australia, let me know!
