I got set up around 5:00 last night for my first sit of the year. Not much was happening as it was about 80 degrees out. After about an hour and a half this little 5 point came strolling in about 5 yards from my stand... He hung out for about 10 minutes when out of nowhere my leg starts tingling. So I start to wiggle my toes just a little, trying to get some feeling back. Then the stand made the slightest noise, so slight I could barely hear it, and this guy had a fit! He ran about 10 feet stomped and snorted his a$$ off! Ran another 10 feet and did it again! This went on for 15 minutes... He had absolutely no idea what he was mad at or what the noise even was but he was definitely upset about it, wind was perfect so there was no chance he smelled me. First sit of the year is always interesting... Good luck this season to everyone!

Got to try out my first tree stand harness too! I feel like an idiot for not wearing one for the last 15 years. Hunter Safety System - TreeStalker Vest - $49.99 ****s Sporting Goods.

    Cheers,

Thats funny, its times like that I wish they made a non lethal arrow with cloraform that would just make those pesty deer keep quite.
