I was on my 4 wheeler checking trail cams last weekend and saw these 2 fawns in my food plot. I've seen them around a lot lately. I think they might be orphans, haven't seen them with mom at all. They are a little bit on the dumb side. I drove to within about 30 yards of them and stopped the 4 wheeler. They then started walking towards me, got to within 20 yards, so I got out my camera and started taking pics. They would get a little nervous and flare their tails and dance around a bit, but didn't leave for about 5 minutes. I'm afraid they won't last very long once bow season starts.

Awesome pics John, looks like one is a good bit bigger than the other,,,Buck perhaps and maby future slammer ;) I was putting a cam out the other day and walked up on a Doe and her fawn. The Doe shagged back into the woods and the Fawn like to ran me over :D They can be dumb wits those first few months :tu:

    Excellent pics.

I kicked up two this afternoon while scouting a new area on the public ground I hunt. They were bedded down in a soy bean field 5 yards from the woods. I was looking for a few good trees for my mobile set up. I think I got within 10 yards of them before they ran into the woods.

    nice pics!

We had 2 orphaned fawns take up residence behind our cabin last year...they would always come out when we had people there and even walk between the cars, making sure to just stay about 30 yards from us...sometimes were even bedded in the wide open yard when we pulled up. Had to make sure all the hunters knew they were off limit for last year...and now a year later, haven't seen them.

Very nice pics. My big bad weenie dog jumped one up the other day. Fawn acted like it wanted to play, but my dog got too serious.
