I'll post this here as so I don't piss in anyones cheerios. Today was opening day of IL firearm season. Dad, myself, and my 2 boys had a good day. Saw several bucks this morning, the ones I saw were too small, the boys saw a nicer one but he was out of range. My youngest son ended up killing his a doe on a drive today. He's still pretty excited. Not much shooting this morning in the area, but I expect that to change tomorrow.
Sweet. Great shot too. I went out looking for a doe on the public land near here. To my surprise, I had one show up and give me a broadside, standing still, 47 yard shot. Good luck tomorrow.
Congrats to your son. This is what I look forward to, spending time with my son in the woods. (when he's old enough)
