I've had both, every year I swear I'm not taking off when the moon is full. Every year there I am again.

The only way to know if there is midday movemment is to be there. Starting tomorrow I will be there

I think it depends on the position of the moon during the night. If the moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise, I don't like the prospects of good daylight movement during the morning and evenings. I believe deer move more when the moon is under foot in this situation, which means good mid day movement since they have been able to move around through out the night with that light from the moon. Just my theory though.

I honestly pay zero attention to moon phases. I get a set amount of time to hunt each fall and I will be in the treestand if its a full moon, empty moon, new moon, old moon, whatever.

The thing is, deer can be very odd creatures. Especially bucks. I don't want to wonder if he decided to stroll by my stand for no apparent reason one morning or evening during a full moon and 70 degree evening. I want to be there to see it and kill him.
