With the full moon coming the deer in my neck of the woods have stopped moving, AGAIN! It never fails, a few days either side of a full moon I see almost zero deer movement. I don't buy into the whole "deer move midday during a full moon" crap either. I hunt midday all the time and from my observations that just ain't true. I have finally learned my lesson after 25 years of bowhunting. When it is around full moon, I am staying home to rest and recharge the batteries! Anyone agree, disagree?

I didnt go out this morning for the same reason. Well that and an east wind just kills all my locations. Might head out around noon and do a little still hunting on the ground.

On my way back from my stand last night the moon was big and bright. As I looked across the field while walking out of the wood-line I seen deer everywhere playing and chasing just after dusk. I suspect they will be up all night I am just hoping to catch one of the all nighters easing back to his bedding area before noon.

I've had 7 thus far. All but 1 in range, no shot on the doe I wanted. That was about an hour ago, sitting all day or until I shoot something

I had the best morning hunt of my life this morning. Seen 10 to 12 deer total. 2 young 8 point bucks dogging doe all over the place. It was action packed.

Yea I bumped a nice big bodied 6 point trying to ease into my stand at about 8:15am. It wasn't long after that two does walked under me, I let them walk didn't want to force a 20 yard shot with all the shrubs and trees in the way. I gave them 5 minutes and hit my doe bleat with in 5 minutes they were in sight so I harvested the younger of the two hopping that the older more mature doe will bring in some big boys.:sheep:

I definitely agree with you. It's like they disappear round a full moon. However I'm too stupid and stubborn to stay home. I always think, you never know, you might get lucky. Can't shoot em from the couch!
