Little frustrated, got a new buck that is making a regular appearance on my 20 acre piece of private. I'd guess 145"ish, what yall think?
Very Nice Bowafide!!! im breaking the frustration by heading up to Minnesota tomorrow to grind on some waterfowl. Should be a good hunt. Big cold shot coming day after our last hunt. Well guys its been pretty slow for me the past few weeks. The IL gun season was a bust. I am hoping to get back out this weekend.

Figured I would check in since its been a lil while. This season has been a true struggle. Our rut wasn't even exciting. Seems that our doe to buck ratio is way out of whack. Still grinding every chance I get, they are there just need one to mess up.
keep at em timmy. im the same. i killed another doe before i left for Minnesota goose hunt. but rut activity was a huge let down and i havent even seen a good buck while on stand except from 200 yds plus and didnt even see his head gear. Man we have all dropped off the map! I am still trying to get another deer down. Hoping to get back to Indiana next week before the season ends it just depends on the weather. Work has really been screwing with my hunting plans this year. I was supposed to go hunting the past two weekends but instead I was traveling to and from Little Rock AR. Have a Happy Holiday guys!

Well my last hunt is going to be Dec. 29th and 30th. Hopefully I can at least get a doe on the ground to finish filling my freezer.

Well as of now I'm done fellas. Wish I could have helped more but it was a horrible season. I did let some very marginal deer walk which I feel good about. Never did retrieve the one I shot back in Nov. I may try to make it out in KY yet since I've got about 10 days.
It has been a horrible season as far as activity goes for me. I passed some 2yr olds that will be nice in a couple years. I might make it out one more time if work permits but I doubt it. All in all I still had a blast. Even if I knew next season would be worse than this one, I would still be out there. We had a good run and there was some nice deer put down by our team. I'm done. I still would have time to go get a doe,but it wouldn't help us and I don't like the idea of killing a pregnant doe. Getting soft i guess. It was fun. Good luck in the future guys.
