Just started a new job this week so between that and the recent house purchase my season is almost shot. I'll still get a few days out but not like normal. I'll keep checking in here every once in a while though. Good luck to the rest of you guys!

Saturday could be a pretty good day. It's going to be 38 degrees in the morning with a high of 63. I am really hoping they will be on their feet and moving. Things have been so nocturnal at our place I need something to change that's for sure.

Maybe since the impossible happened and my Cubbies won the world series that will get some of the bucks out in the daylight.

I saw a doe with another 100" 8 pt trailing Halloween morning...opted not to shoot. I was about to shoot the doe, but then heard grunts about 100 yards behind her so I waited. He was about same size as one I already shot. Holding out for bigger buck or a lonesome doe. I feel good about my chances to put some points on the board over the next 2 weeks. I've seen deer within range 3/4 hunts so far.

Heading out the door today at 3pm to make the 3 hours and 45 minute trek to the farm. Probably going to plan on an all day sit tomorrow and then maybe one more later in the week when the temps are supposed to drop again.

I'll be out there tonight trying to get a lone doe down. Skipping tomorrow mornings hunt for some duck hunting. Perks of already having killed a buck

Nothing happening by me yet. Hear a little bit of movement but nothing close.

My wife says that there are no deer on our property but I see deer almost every sit. Tagging out is no longer about points for me. Only to prove her wrong.

I went tonight and a dilapidated gate i was crossing collapsed and threw me into a fresh pile of cow crap. Not happy. Also saw no deer. Time to regroup.

Took my girlfriend on her first duck hunt ever and we killed our limits of wood ducks. It was a great break from the deer woods

That's awesome! Think those are the prettiest ducks. I might get one or two of them a season

Looks good cml! Ducks too :p
Got this week off from work to hunt! I'll be making my first all day sit tomorrow, which is bringing a "perfect" wind for this stand and somewhat cooler temps. I have plenty of does and a couple nice bucks to go after, just have to be at the right place at the right time since they don't have much of a pattern on this property. So unless it's a basket rack, I'll shoot whatever comes within 40 yards. Love this time of year!
