Was just looking at the score thread and it looks like some pretty good bucks are starting to hit the ground. Looks like we better get busy!
its coming henson. as of Halloween i will be throwing the gloves down. Have a Giant i will chase at our property in So.IL. neighbor has pics and i saw him on hoof last year. Hes incredible. Havent seen any shooters at my local spots but you never know what the rut will bring!!!! im ready!!!!
I am really hoping my cameras have a surprise waiting for me when I get down to the farm tonight. Let me ask you guys this. I will be getting down there about 2 hours after dark tonight and part of me just wants to run out and swap out my cards then instead of going during mid day tomorrow. Would you check your cameras at night or would you wait until daylight.
Here is my thinking on it. I have to take care of some chores first thing tomorrow and I would really like to get out and sit the entire afternoon. Tomorrows high is only 69 but it jumps up to 80 on Saturday. I feel like I might have a chance to see some midday movement or early evening movement.
As long as you arent bumping them out of a field or off their food i say go for it. ive moved many a stand by bedding areas at night.
im thinking of just going into work on Halloween and Nov 1st. i cant do 80 deg. i can tack those days on later if needed. maybe the 14th 15th of Nov.
I'll get him scored and entered and the hunt story posted tomorrow. Real happy with him and the pressure is off! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right On cml !!! ill stop being dead weight next week hopefully and get some points on the board as well.
Thats a dandy of a buck Cml. So far things have been slow in the morning but decent activity in the evening. My cameras are telling me the deer on my place are still nocturnal.
Finally had some deer movement around me last night! Four does came out into this 4 acres piece of pasture I sit on the edge of and mulled around for about 10 minutes. I waited patiently for one of them to make their way towards me only to notice that they were being pushed away from me...that's when I noticed what was doing it! The tall 8 that I started getting pictures of about 2 weeks ago had come out of nowhere and pushed them all in the opposite direction of me. Was a little discouraged to no get a shot on a doe, but happy to see that 8 cruising around. I have the 5th thru the 14th off from work so I'm hoping I can get er done soon!!
Before I submit my score I just want to make sure that you guys think I'm relatively correct. I've done quite a bit of scoring and in confident in my scores. But ya never know so I figured I'd double check with the team. I'll get the score entered today if there are no discrepancies.
Well as luck would have it I'll be heading back to work instead of being out in the woods for my opening day of whitetail only hunt. But on the plus side it last a month an half. Congrats to everyone that has gotten meat on the ground and good luck to those that are still hunting. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
