This public draw turned out to be a bust for me. Haven't seen a thing. Going in the morning to pull my stand and gonna be back at my farm Friday!
The end of this weeks weather looks a lot better than the 80 degrees we have today. I won't get out until maybe Thursday or Friday. Here's some recent pictures from my new spot.
I am in Kansas, its 50 degrees and I am not hunting. This is a bunch of bullshat! Flying back to Illinois this morning. I might have to buy my IL license and go hunt this weekend
Well After what seems like forever I will be back in the stand Friday. I will be down at the farm for a nice four day hunt. The highs are in the 60's with the lows in the low 50's so it should be pretty good. I talked to one of the other guys who hunts our place and he said last week he saw a few scrapes start to pop up so I am betting I will be seeing even more this weekend. With that said I will need to start switching my trail cams to scrapes and travel routes this weekend so when I come back the next week for my Rutcation I can hopefully zero in on a good buck.
Leaving tomorrow for five full days of hunting in Missouri. I hope the timing is right. The weather looks good even though it will be a little warm.
We still have 55-65 degree temps in central South Dakota for the foreseeable future, but I am starting to get more and more buck activity on my cameras. If the wind is right this weekend I will be sitting in a newly hung treestand that sits off a pinchpoint.
Got 50 more for us last night. Shot a doe around 6:30. Give me a few days to get pics changed over and I'll get it posted to scorecard. Had about a 120 class walk in right after I shot her. He should be a stud in about 2 years. Looked like maybe only a 2yr old now. But what a fun night.
Temps are looking a little warm now for this weekend but it should still be a good weekend to get out. Right now they have a high of 79 for Saturday and low 70's for the other days.
Way to go Timmy! I haven't spent a ton of time in the stand yet but that's starting to change now that the cold weather has started moving in.
Nice job Timmy! Cold front rolling in here with a possibility of snow. Left Syracuse after classes and headed two hours home for a evening and morning hunt, just to drive two hours tomorrow afternoon back for class. Hoping it pays off! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
