What I thought was just my back brakes going bad turned out to be all four. At least I can stop now!

Man this thread has blown up. Sorry guys I haven't been on much. Been trying to get everything done around the house and get as much OT in before season kicks off. I went and ran cams today and ended up pulling one of them. The other I have a 160 inch with about a 10 in drop that shows up religiously. Well last time I ran it I kinda forgot to turn my camera back on. LOL We have got several good ones showing up on multiple cameras. Goin in the morning to a spot I'll be hunting Sat evening in KY. Had several decent young bucks last year down there. This will be my first trip down this year, so gonna bait heavy and hope for the best. You can check some of our stuff out on facebook. Its Bladed Outdoors. And before someone says something, no the drop tine is not on there. We decided to leave him off due to spot lighting being legal here and always finding deer carcasses in our bean fields at harvest time with no heads. Just figured I wouldn't advertise him til he is dead. LOL

Card pull today revealed a lot of bucks but mostly up and comers..2.5 yo class a couple questionable shooters. Last years target has not revealed himself yet...hopefully he's still alive because he'll be a brute if he is.

A few I am going to take a closer look at this year...otherwise I got a bunch of 100-120" 8 points hanging around...just want to hold out for bigger if I can.

Sorry guys I haven't been on much lately. In the process of looking at land and working with a builder, been busy. Opening day is next Friday here though, and I plan on being in a tree sometime that weekend.

I spent the day bush hogging the property I hunt. As usual I did damage to my equipment and wore myself out, but i have access now. All in all a good day.

On the road to Colorado, 30 hours to camp. Still was seeing lots of nice bucks at home that keep my hopes high. Hopefully this is my dream season and kill a bull and a big buck.

Well I am back from my 3 day trip down to the farm and I must say it was fairly productive for being just me. I was able to get all three food plots worked and planted, put the new tripod stand together and in place (which sucks by yourself), I was also able to get all the atv paths cleared and mowed. Now I just need opening day to get here.

1st plot is our clover plot on the east side of our 2.5 acre field that sits in the middle of the timber. After 7 yrs it was time for a fresh start. I planted WTI forage oats and WTI clover.

Second plot is on the west side of our 2.5 acre field. I planted WTI forage oats mixed with radishes.

Third plot is about 12 yards wide and 150 yards long in this grass alleyway between the timber. The view you are seeing is from the new tripod stand. For this plot I used a mix the local feed store sells.
