Headed out now to get last of trees and shooting lanes trimmed. Have spots picked out for 3 ground blinds but might have to make one more trip out for that. Then this place sits silent till Oct 1st! Can't freakin wait!!!

It's a sad day. I just made a trip over to Cabelas and walked out without buying anything but what's worse is I really didn't find anything I needed or even wanted. Think a dr. visit might have to be in order.

I hear ya. I am going to miss the big sales event down here at the field and stream store on Sunday. I am not sure I need anything but I am usually good for one new product or gimmick a year.

Don't let my wife hear that. We just spent $1200 at Bass pro in Sevierville Tn. Most of it was ammo. You can never have enough you know.

I'm sure if I looked harder I would have found something. Guess it means I get to spend twice as much next time I go!

I'm good on those. Actually crazy story the gf and I went to Gander Monday and she needed boots. Found Lacrosse Alpha Burlys in her size. $149 marked down to $14.99 and rung up at the register for $11.03. Wish I could find deals like that.

lot of hard work today just to get 2 trees ready. not super happy with this set. I like to be off the edge more but this tree does a good job of breaking it up. even better than the pic looks. lot of concealment. Right before I took this pic a fawn jumped up from the beans right behind my buddy down there. After wed been making a racket for an hour. pretty neat

I don't think a doe will be any problem on my farm but a buck will be a different story.

What about during the rut? Are there other bucks in the area that might come around looking for does?

We hold a few good bucks on our place but we have a good doe population that always seems to bring in several new bucks during the seeking phase

In years past I always had a few good bucks but this year I am only getting one buck on cameras over and over again all over the farm. Sure others are around just haven't found them yet. Going to be doing a lot of public land hunting too that I know has some giants

I've been getting zero big buck pics. If I trusted my cams I wouldn't even hunt my property but then I'm finding absolute horse track prints. the big boys are around they're just cam shy
