I just got back from hanging some cams and exploring new area that is full of big buck sign. won't be back to that area till I'm ready to hunt. Got climber trees picked out. Not many pics but trying something new with the cams so we will see in 2 weeks...
Well I just checked the weather forecast for the next week and it looks like I will have a big enough window at the beginning of next week to get my soil worked and the food plots planted. So I took Monday and Tuesday off to head down to our Indiana property. Hopefully everything works out and I am able to get that taken care of. I hope to also check some stands and put up a few new ladder stands and a tripod I bought this summer.
Just adding to the list of names I have suggested 1. Raiders of the Rut (just a play on Shockers suggestion) 2. Smoke'em if you got'em 3. Wired for the hunt 4. Jim Shockey's Hat 5. BH.com's Dream Season 6. Missed the Archery Talk Sign Up 7. Team Fillin the Freezers 8. Huntsanity 9. Americas Team 10. Just sent a text 11. Above it All 12. Better Lucky Than Good 13. Antler Addiction 14. Better than Prestige World Wide 15. Fillin tags while dealing with all the D'Bags
I am OK with whatever name we decide on. Have opening weekend here in WI blocked off to hunt and then have the week of Halloween off. Will sneak away a few times in between but looking forward to the time in the woods.
I wouldn't go with 14. Because everyone knows that ain't true! You know you're screwed when the guy on your team has a clause named after him for getting the smallest scoring buck possible!! Lol!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I need to do the same at our property in Southern IL. I will concentrate more of my efforts later in the season there so it's always pushed off to the end of the list.

That's a mighty fine list of names Henson. I'll add 1. Autumn's Addiction (like Jane's Addiction) 2. The Snort Wheezers 3. 4 Seasons Assassins
Team name - "Quad Brothers" Maybe I missed in the first 20 pages, but what's everybody planting for food plots this year and why? I'm trying a clover and chicory blend on my .75 acre plot with sorghum around the outside. I had sugar beets, radishes and turnips last year and they didn't touch it until the first extended freeze in December.
For starters we are redoing our clover plot but expanding it to about 3/4 - 1 acre. Our second plot will be an acre with WTI Oats Plus and I will be mixing in radishes as well. The third plot is about 150yrds long and 15yrds wide. It will have oats, and radishes as well. Over the last couple years we have tried a few things and the oats seem to be the best. I have a small clover kill plot that goes year round...needs some TLC as grass is coming on this year...I'll probably mow it here first chance I get as we're getting some rains. My other two plots I have the farmer leave the standing soybeans and I already went in and broadcast a mix of daikon radish, sugar beet, purple top turnips, rape, and oats...I broadcast this right over the top of the beans a few weeks ago. I haven't been back to check how well its taking. Last time I did this late season was killer. Deer by me absolutely flock to standing beans when all corn is out and freezing temps are on. They haven't quite figured out that they should like the other stuff yet while its green but come snow they dig those bulbs up and hit those oats. Plan to check my cams tomorrow afternoon if I can get out back...its been 3-4 weeks since my last card pull.
Alright we need a name. Everyone post your favorite from all those suggested and let's see where we are at! I will try to make a list tomorrow when I am on a computer again
