I am currently using a trophy ridge revolution on my bow. This is my first bow and I bought a package online, in retrospect it wasn't the money saver I thought it would be because I've replaced almost everything that came with it (arrows, release, broadheads, and the case is a piece of crap). I had a choice between the revolution and the whisker biscuit and I liked the idea of a drop away as opposed to a shoot through rest. Well, the bow (Bear Encounter) works just fine and I've had zero problems with the revolution.

My new bow should be ready for me next week. I really like the full containment of the revolution but I'm not sure if that is what I should go with. I like the looks of the NAP Armorrest. What other full containment rests are there? What is the best choice and WHY? I did notice the Armorrest is double the price but I wouldn't mind paying that if it worth it. Thanks!

Thanks slugger. The ripcord page shows the code red and the S.O.S. Evidently the code red drops quicker then the S.O.S. What is better. The S.O.S. says it can be beneficial for "excessive draw lengths" what is considered excessive? My DL is 31.5 does that make a big difference in the type of arrow rest I should be looking at??

QAD Ultrarest HDX is the one I and most all of my hunting buddies use. I have never heard a single complaint from anyone about it. Great rest! Its supper quite with the felt they give you to put over the plastic parts, and it won't deploy when letting down. Its fast enough deploying that all arrows will clear the rest even from the fastest bows out there and there is no bounce back.

    +4 for QAD

Also the fuse ultra rest. Long story but I have one on my set up currently. Basically no difference between it and the QAD.

You could be right. I've never looked into that at all, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I had a RipCord on my old bow and liked it.

I am going to be putting an Armorrest on my new one however.

I bought a revolution last year. The problem I had with it, and from what I've heard, is that it's not fast enough to completely clear the arrow on faster bows (320 fps or higher). I noticed right away that my fletchings were leaving marks on it and tuned it as much as possible with little success. I switched back to a QAD Ultrarest HDX and have had no trouble since!
