Brother, The WORST of it was losing my elk hunt!!! I missed my elk hunt last year after my mother-in-law (also my daycare provider) fell down some steps and broke her hand and wrist. I was SOOOO looking forward to being in those mountains and trying to stalk into range of an elk, it was on my mind everyday for the past 2 years, and it will be on my mind again until next year!!! While I'm focused on getting better, I'm still also focused on being in those mountains with that elk fever, but I'll not hunt them unless I can pull at LEAST 55-60#. So I at least have a goal that is driving me. I'm able to rough my kids up again, which is nice because they are both little rough-housers, and they missed me not being able to rough them up for nearly 2 months. Life continues to get a little better each day, and I keep driving towards my goals ONE DAY AT A TIME!!! God has blessed me in many ways, and this is a challenge he's presented me to make me stronger and make me appreciate what I've been given.
Lets just say I cut my "summer fun" a little short.... http://forums.bowhunting.com/showth...re-how-soon-IF-I-ll-be-able-to-shoot-again...
Colorado or BUST in 2012.... Even if I'm only a caller and a camper vs. being a hunter, I WILL be there!!!
