I have a few Moultrie and 1 Primo trailcam and this last hunting season presented a small problem...We had quite a cold hunting season this past year...Had many days in the 20's which we dont generally see until late in the season...(Bow starts in mid Sept and final gun season runs to about mid Dec)...

The thing I started to notice was that on days it as down in temps, that even though there was evidence of deer being near my cameras (corn missing and tracks in the mud) I wasnt getting anything to trigger the cameras...

Im not sure if this is a common problem with trailcams or maybe it was the batterys...

Any suggestions would be appreciated such as different battery choice or a diff camera that will work better in the cold weather...

    Thanks all!

The cold will definitely frustrate game cameras. Best advice...keep the batteries as fresh as possible.

Any time my Moultries got below 60% that's when I would start having problems. I could stand in front of them and wave my arms and sometimes not get 1 pic. Definitely not the case with the Coverts I've gotten the last few years.

    Sounds like battery issues
