Winter is winding up pretty quick here and in 2-3 weeks I plan on planting alfalfa. Problem is my local feedmill won't have seed in till April 1. I was thinking about ordering so Imperial Alfa Rack Plus from WI. It is a mix not 100% alfalfa. Anybody plant this mix in the past? Convince me to plant this instead of straight alfalfa. It will be a 1/4 acre going right by another 1/4 acre of ladino and red clover.

If you have a fleet farm near by they sell alfalfa seed. Might want to make a call and see

I generally get a few of these to add to my food plots. Its like 10 bucks for a pound but generally ships fast.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Food Plot Additives : Cabela's

For my plots that size I usually plant Antler King Trophy Clover and mix it with one of those bags of alfalfa. Then later spray with the Jolt fertilizer when its about 3 inches high. If your ph is good do really well from my past experiences. That is the exact mix i will be planting again this year. I tried beans but in the smaller plots they get mowed and usually are all gone in no time. Best part you can frost seed next year.

Bought 5 pounds of seed off the e-bay going to mix the extra seed up into the existing clover plot, kinda excited to get started I suppose raking a 1/2 acre will kill that excitement.
