Hello, everyone. I'm a late-onset hunter, started hunting at 45 and now 50. I've been using a crossbow for the last 6 seasons and now making the switch to a recurve. I've been pretty successful hunting deer with a crossbow (the gateway drug) on our public lands, but I find shooting trad a lot more fun and interesting. I've owned a recurve for the last 2 years, but only to tinker around with it in the backyard for kicks. I'm taking a renewed interest in it and working hard to be hunting accurate for the upcoming season. I love to hunt on the ground mostly, but not terribly adverse to saddle hunting, and would love to take any deer on the ground with the recurve this year - I'm not choosey one bit. Looking forward to being on the forum.
