The feeder is home made...I actually made two feeders for a total of $17. I also live inside the city limits, and have 1 acre of land attached to several hundred acres. The deer come into my yard every day, but I don't want to shoot them IN MY YARD, so the stand is up, feeding them, and trying to figure out there patterns. I'm a rookie at this, doing teh best I can. Stand is up in the only really good spot I have, that intersects 3 trails (I'm at the Y). I have 4 Bucks that show...a solid 8-pointer, two smaller 6/7 points, and a young non-typical 4 pointer. I have over 900 pics since 26 August...deer "inside the wire" all hours of the day/night.

Welcome to the forums. Thats a great buck and you did a great job on that feeder as well. Good luck getting him on the ground this season.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

Thanks. Feeders and food need to be cremovd by 15 September...I don't know how much traffic I'll have once the food is gone. I guess we'll see what happens. I'll update as appropriate.

I like this pic, as the two bucks have a stare down. Not bad for "city deer".

Once I stop feeding, what can I legally do to keep the Bucks coming through? I'll start hunting this spot on 25 Sept, well before the rut. I'm not sure what to do...but the trails are there, and they we're there bfore I was feeding them so maybe I'll catch the big boy cruising through.
