A pack of “wild” hogs showed up to my property while we were filling feeders and were so tame we even hand fed them!
This was the one time we didn’t take bows actually! It was pretty surreal. We even saw a group of bucks, a 4,6,8 and 10 point all grazing about 50 yards away seemingly unaware of our presence. It was amazing and really frustrating at the same time!
Damn wtf!? Keep hand feeding them. Go back at same time each day and then take em all out at once lol. That’s a lot of pork!
It was insane. We noticed them and thought they would leave when we walked up and they just stayed so we opened a bag of corn and threw some down and they all ambushed us. It was really cool and honestly one of the best days Iv has at the property. Certainly won’t forget it!
A pig is a filthy animal, to quote one of my favorite films. Will to be honest I don't know how you do it. I was in Dade county last week, good god did I sweat, I drank 6 bottles of water one day and peed once. I am pretty deeply tan this time of year and I am peeling from last weeks exposure.
I dont eat nothing doesnt have sense enough to disregard it's own feeces. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Strange thing was these guys were super clean and didn’t smell at all unlike most Iv shot. Almost like they were a bunch of pets that escaped. Really weird
Would be funny if some dudes ole lady wouldn't stop bringing home pet pigs and on his way to another state with his grill in the bed of his pick up, he freed the lot of em. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Then you need to stay away from rabbit, too. BTW, I would have taken a knife with sufficiently long blade, not a bow or firearm. Double-lung/heart thrust ...
Why would you want to feed them? The Great Smoky Mountains NP has a big hog problem. Some of the ground around the old homesteads look like they had been plowed.
They may have been tame at one point and released. From what I've read "Any pig that gets out can revert back in a matter of months to a state where it can exist in the wild,"... "they will get hairy, grow tusks and get aggressive."
We walked in to the property throwing corn so they would find our feeders. Make no mistake they will be shot once under a feeder. We couldn’t do anything to them where they were as it was on a public roadway
