Hey guys I've got a friend looking at getting into filming hunts and he's wondering what is a good beginner class camcorder to start out with, preferably a low cost option
And tips or ones he should check out?

The Canon Vixia HF R500 is not a bad starter. you can get them new for around 250 and little cheaper used. If they decide they like it they can always use it for second angles and upgrade later. I have a JVC Everio GZ-R10BU, It supposed to be water shock and just resistant but the down side is the battery is internal. I use it if I expect rain instead of risking the Vixia G20.
