What Your Dog Is Really Thinking When He Poops | TIME.com The headline is misleading. The study certainly puts no perspective on what my dog might actually be thinking... I'm also unsure that this study was really worthy, but whatever - too many conditions for it to hold true - earth magnetic field must be stable?!?!, but it is a curious phenomenon. I'd certainly be interested in which way my dog orients himself, but how am I suppose to know if the earth's magnetic field is stable during that time to anecdotally verify? To the headline: I've always been more intrigued by the fact that poopin dogs always have an embarrassed grimace on their face... or maybe it a stressful grimace. no I have never observed my own face while pooping. I'm sure I could have the same grimace at times.
It looks like this study could have been done at any time, at any place, in any conditions and came out (pun intended) with the same results !
