well after a crummy loss to the 49ers got back to chicago about 5am and what better of a way to lick my wounds??? get my butt out and hunt! was sitting by about 1330 and not seeing much, but nice to be out. so about 1500 i hear a BIG squirrel! turns out it was my buck. came in about 21yds away and i had to stop him. total pass thru quartering left away. big donkey kick and trotted off about 15yds. he stood there for a few moments then made a dash to his right and died 20yds later with a big crash! wanted to wait for a bigger deer but its been a tough season and not sure when/if i'll get much more time to hunt... i was lazy and took him to the meat processing company, and am getting the skull capped for a reg antler plaque.

big thanks for all the support from family and friends and to BH.com for bringing us all together!

    sittin' on him

Yeah! Was so excited to see you pull up with him in the back of the truck! It's a great buck and there will be more of that to come! Man, that WKP hat looks familiar :)

Congrats on the buck. Getting home at 5 am from a football game and going straight to the woods for an all day sit is about as hardcore as it gets.
