Has anyone been able to get there hands on any old seed that was not sold for this season of growing. I have heard that they sell it really cheap or give it away, if not they burn it. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting my hands on it or any other cheap seed that is still good? I'm starting to up scale on my food plots and looking to save any money where I can. Thanks for the help.

where are you at? Go to your local COOP and ask them. I farm down here in Arkansas and I have never heard of that. Try to get some Eagle Seed if possible. They are a forage bean, which means they are green into the fall and when the deer eat them they keep coming back. They are a group 7 bean.

I'm in Michigan and I have heard of Eagle Seed BEans before and want to give them try. I'm looking for some roundup type crop as I think I may need it as I broke up a old hay field so I'm sure there will be dormant weeds seed still in there. Thanks for the idea.

I have heard that the NWTF and Pheasants Forever either sell the corn cheap or give it away.

I have gotten Roundup Ready beans from the NWTF for $10 per bag and they have worked well. All this is seed that was cleaned up off the floor at the seed company. The seed company can not sell it once it goes to floor so the seed is packaged and donated to different wildlife organization so they and the wildlife can benefit.
